FDA Warning for Muscle Milk
In 2011, the FDA sent a warning letter to Muscle Milk’s manufacturer stating they were not allowed to call their product “healthy” because it contains a lot of fat and several toxic chemicals including metals like mercury and lead. How horrible is that?? They also said it was mislabeled as “milk”, because there was no actual milk in it. Chris Galen, a spokesman for the National Milk Producers Federation stated, “We are gratified that the FDA has finally gotten off its duff and done something with respect to at least one product.”
Muscle Milk Uses Low Grade Sugar Substitutes
The sugar substitute found in Muscle Milk is called “sucralose” and “acesulfame potassium”. Just Google them and you can research the side effects. It is all synthetic, even the fibers inside! It comes from cellulose gum and carrageenan, which is horrible for your stomach. Would you want really, really cheap chemical preservatives?
